Beautiful Minds Ezine: April 1, 2005

A very warm welcome to you: Presenting the Inaugural issue of Beautiful Minds Ezine!!!

This revamped website is the result of numerous genuine responses received over the years. I am very grateful for the opportunities to work with organizations that truly believe in tapping the unlimited potential in all of us.

This ezine is dedicated to sharing that honest and wonderful affirmation; that we are truly capable of developing so much more. We are, after all, Beautiful Minds.

A lot of these enlightening insights are the result of meeting wonderful people everywhere I go and voracious reading of wonderful books and material. I truly hope you will be able to benefit from this ezine. Great realization and awareness is developed from a series of events and encounters. I am afraid it does not come from any single epiphany.

Note: Epiphany** A comprehension or perception of reality by means of a sudden intuitive realization: "I experienced an epiphany, a spiritual flash that would change the way I viewed myself"

Great Realization & Awareness: Be Here Now

In June 2004, I attended a great seminar, which made a tremendous impact in my life. I felt like I was fitted with turbo-engines and all fired up!!! I felt strongly about certain things and I went ahead to do it. I am proud to announce that by June 2005, within a year, I'll be able to fulfill this great audacious goal of mine.

My passion is to build great sandcastles, among many other things. Through this great realization and awareness workshop, I found out my real passion is to share this joy of a hobby with others. The big hairy audacious goal I set out to do was to build a hobby centre for sandcastle building with the primary goal to help underprivileged children, high risk families and the physically challenged.

At that point in time, I have absolutely no idea how to go about doing anything as remote as this. In due time, things began to fall into places. Not long after I met John Woods, the man who created a global charity organization that collects books and donates them to poor countries. He encouraged me with his inspiration and worthy cause.

In no time, I sent out numerous presentations and got even more numerous rejections. In Nov 2004, a very energetic civil servant hears of my presentation and within 2 months, I received a small of funds to get started. Volunteers came to help every Saturday and by now, I have a steady stream of families who have benefited from it. Several care agencies have written generous feedback. Castle Beach Limited will be launched in June 2005.

And all this starts with: Be Here Now.

  • It's the acceptance of who we are, warts and all, and be grateful for every single cell in our bodies.
  • It's the realization of no excuse, no blame and full responsibilities of my own life and happiness in the future. It's called here.
  • It's the awareness of acting as if now is the most precious element ever existed.

Too many people live life as if they'll be around for the next thousand years.

"Yeah, I've got goals, but what's the rush?" they think.

But the real winners in life, the ones who illuminate every room they enter, attract success in everything they do, and simply love being alive, never hide from the truth.

The use it to motivate them toward the things they want.

"Wherever you are is always the right place. There is never a need to fix anything, to hitch up the bootstraps of the soul and start at some higher place. Start right where you are."
- Julia Cameron

Reflection:
Close your eyes and imagine that everything you have and everything you are is enough. You don't need to be better or different - you're great just as you are. Can you experience the peace and contentment that owning that perspective brings?

"Moving into such total acceptance does not mean that we stop growing. When we can accept who we are now, we open the doors to our own inspiration to do and be even more! Who you really are is enough."
- Oriah Mountain Dreamer

Till Issue #2, Have a great month ahead.
